Nun findet der nächste Hochkaräter den Weg in die Hauptstadt. Bereits vor dem Ende seines bis 2030 laufenden Vertrags bei der SG Flensburg-Handewitt schließt sich Simon Pytlick den Füchsen Berlin an. Ab dem Sommer 2027 wird er an der Spree auflaufen, sein dann gültiges Arbeitspapier ist bis 2030 datiert, er wird die Trikotnummer 2 tragen. Der 24 Jahre alte Däne ist Rechtshänder und läuft im Rückraum sowohl auf der linken Position als auch in der Mitte auf.

Bei den Füchsen trifft Pytlick auch auf alte Bekannte. Der 1,92-Mann, der 2000 auf der Insel Thurø geboren wurde, spielte von 2019 bis 2023 für GOG, ehe er nach Flensburg ging. In Dänemark bei GOG lief er gemeinsam mit Mathias Gidsel auf, mit dem er später auch Olympisches Gold 2024 in Paris holte, und war Schützling von Trainer Nicolej Krickau. Pytlick entstammt wie viele andere heutige Weltstars dem GOG-Nachwuchs. Das dänische Modell der nachhaltigen Talententwicklung ähnelt stark dem der Berliner. Beide Clubs setzen auf eine akribische Jugendarbeit, sodass viele Jungfüchse den Sprung in das Profigeschäft schaffen. Diese sollen dann eben von Akteuren wie Pytlick lernen können.

In seiner Vita stehen bereits einige Titel: Mit GOG wurde Pytlick 2022 und 2023 Dänischer Meister und wurde zudem 2019 und 2022 nationaler Pokalsieger. Mit Flensburg gewann er 2024 und 2025 die EHF European League und mit der dänischen Nationalmannschaft, für welche er 259 Tore in 57 Spielen warf, holte er neben Olympia-Gold auch zweimal die Weltmeisterschaft, 2023 und 2025. 62-mal lief Pytlick derweil schon in der DAIKIN Handball-Bundesliga auf. In der aktuellen Saison ist er mit 76 Toren auf Platz zwölf der Torschützenliste und Siebter der ligaweiten Vorlagengeber (46 Assists).

Now the next top-class player is finding his way to the capital. Simon Pytlick is joining Füchse Berlin before the end of his contract with SG Flensburg-Handewitt, which runs until 2030. He will play on the Spree from the summer of 2027, his contract is valid until 2030, and he will wear the number 2 jersey. The 24-year-old Dane is right-handed and plays in the backcourt on both the left and in the centre.
